I'm proud to introduce our next project: City of the Sleeping Goddess
After working on Navia we realized that the scope of the game was going to still be too large given the size of our team and the amount of time each person was able to work on the game.
Because of this, we needed a new strategy, a game that would had allowed us to leverage the things we learned from previous project attempts, while focusing on our initial desire which is and has been to share our universe with everyone.
So after many different considerations we finally determined the kind of game we wanted to make.
This game allowing us to to do a few special things:
- Provide our players with a deep look into the Immortal Doctrine universe
- Bring out the beauty of our lovely artist's styles and attention to detail
- Create a fun and light game to help offset a lot of the stress people may have been building up due to the quarantine.
We've been working hard on the game and hope to really deliver something special.
As we work on the game we can't help but feel a deep sense of excitement.
Jonathan Blow once said "You need to feel the greatness of your game." Effectively one way you know you're on the right track is when you're feeling good about what you're making.
And we feel very good 😀
We hope to bring the game to you all soon and in the meantime we'll share info about it on here and via our social media channels.
We do plan to continue development on Navia, however we need to first be in a better spot as a studio and we believe that by making games from the heart like COTSG, we'll have the means to bring even greater games to you all.
